Country Garden Design in Weald
The tall conifer trees were removed to allow light into the existing dark and damp country garden design in Weald. The crazy paved area outside the house was reshaped and enlarged using random paving of natural Indian Sandstone and softened with curves that were repeated throughout the garden with Viburnum tinus ‘Eve Price’, Photinia and Osmanthus curved hedges and circular beds.
In the front of the house the old broken tarmac drive was replaced with compressed gravel and edging setts. The formal variegated Buxus hedging was used to edge several beds that contained informal plantings of Salix integra ‘Hakuro-nishiki’, Lavendula angustifolia ‘Hidcote’ and Heuchera ‘Chocolate Ruffles’.
